Yo, my name's Teddy. Well my actual name is Theodore but most of my friends use to call me Teddy so It's pretty much what I go by now. Basically to go over it really fast I needed to get some more income to my house so I started to apply for like every job I saw on websites and in the newspaper, About a month ago I got a call and the guy pretty much just gave me the job immediately. I didn't remember applying to it but whatever I got a job so I'm pretty happy. Oh my job is security guard at a car park (I know it sounds boring and also why would a car park need a security guard?) I wondered that too so it was the first thing I asked My boss Mr. Pandrich when I got here.
Before he explained anything he made me sign an NDA which is obviously a bit strange for working at a car park, whatever I thought I needed the money. After I signed it he explained that the car park is just for warehouse round the corner but he said that there are creatures that appear at night, he said most of the time they are friendly but they do need to be kept within the premises of the car park. I laughed thinking he was joking, it sounded like he was trying to explain the plot of Nightmare at the Museum if the last time he watched it he was drunk and upside down and it was in Portuguese or something. I was honestly shocked at his response though, he slammed his fist on the desk I would be using and he shouted "RIGHT, THIS IS NOT A JOKE" obviously taken a back a little I just sat there shocked as he continued "You watch the monitor and if you see anything moving around you go to it and help with whatever it needs. Come back to your office and keep doing that until your shift ends." He stared at me waiting for a response, I muttered "like fnaf" under my breath. "What?" he replied. "I said alright." He looked at me with a stern look and handed me a set of keys, "These are for your office and the gate at the front, Don't let anything out unless it proves it's human." This time as I looked at him talking I felt a feeling of serious that I didn't feel before, when he yelled I was scared but I still felt a slight feeling like he was just playing a prank.
He turned around and just walked out the door, I tried to follow him to ask him more but when I got up and looked out the door he was gone. I don't know how he left so quick, there's a whole ass car park from my office to the exit. I sat back down and started to think about what just happened, my boss talked about creatures, lost his mind and abused the table and then vanished. Yeah I was just as confused then as you probably are now. It get's a even more strange from here so take a break to process this if you need to.
I leaned back in my chair and rubbed my face, wondering what I got myself into I sat there thinking if what just happened was real. What could he even mean by 'creatures that appear at night', how does something prove that it's human? I thought it would be better to just assume that it was just some sort of strange humour so I tried to shrug it off, still feeling nervous I looked over at the monitor sitting on the table. It showed a view of the cameras around the car park, I could see a few cars around the place but it was mostly just empty. I watched for what felt about 5 minutes before I got bored, I took out my phone and started to look for a YouTube video to watch; I put on a video and began to watch periodically looking over at the cameras to see if anything was up. After about 40 minutes I noticed a light in the corner of my eye coming from the monitor, One of the cars had started and it began to head towards the exit. I didn't see anyone walk towards it so I thought that maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention, I watched the drivers side window roll down and an arm came out, It pressed a button on the the machine beside it and my monitor changed to a view from the machine. The arm held out an I.D which read "Security Manager Brian Pandrich", Well that must have been where he went, I don't know why he would have sat in his car for so long but whatever; I thought to myself. I look down at my desk and I noticed a button named "Gate", I pressed it without really thinking. A loud beep sounded in my office and looking back at the monitor it switched back to it's normal view of all the cameras, the gate began to open. The car drove out and the gate closed again.
I wondered if that's what he meant for something to prove it's self to be human. I thought it was weird but I guess it worked, time for YouTube again. A few hours had passed and I began to fall asleep at my desk, nothing had happened since then so I was pretty bored. Just as I felt like I was about to surcom soccomb surcum... fall asleep (╯!□!)╯︵ ┻━┻ I heard the sound of an engine start up somewhere near, I bolted up and looked at the cameras; another car was driving towards the exit. Just as Pandrich had done before, the window rolled down and a hand pressed the button. The view on the monitor switched to the machine and an ID was shown to the camera. "Securcity Manger Brain Pantrich". I read it about 6 times to make sure I wasn't seeing things, if this was another joke it was a pretty strange one. Maybe it was a test to see if I noticed I thought.
I didn't have a contact number for Pandrich so I wasn't sure who to call. I sat there trying to think for about 20 seconds while the arm held out the ID patiently. Thinking back to what I was told at the beginning of my shift I thought I would entertain the idea that it was a creature that needed help. Grabbing the keys off my desk I got up and walked towards the gate where the car was waiting, as I approached the arm went back into the vehicle and the window rolled back up. This was obviously strange so I approached with a bit more caution. From about a meter beside the car I peered into the drivers side window but I couldn't see anyone in the seat. The car was completely empty, I just stood there observing it for a few moments before deciding to grab my phone to try and find any way to contact Pandrich, on the way back to the office I felt a shiver down my spine as the weird experiences of the night started to settle in. I chose to keep walking, I would get an explanation from him when I got a hold of him. I got back to office and grabbed my phone, I sat in my chair and began googling any way to contact my boss. I lifted my head for just a moment to check the cameras, I looked back down at my phone but I had to do a double take. The car was gone, the gate was closed and I'm sure it didn't come back into the car park. I would see it on the camera if it was.
I leaned into the monitor looking in every corner for it, where had it gone? It must have gone somewhere. I made sure I had my phone and my keys, I ran back to the gate to check with my own eyes. It really was gone, somehow it had literally vanished. I thought it couldn't get any weirder but as I stood there wondering what had happened I started to see the car park slowly light up, the sun was rising. Last time I checked it was still only 4am, the sun shouldn't rise for hours I thought to myself. I looked at my phone and it said it was 7:26am, I was sure it was early then that.
My next shift is in 20 minutes so I'll speed up this last section. I walked slowly back to the office and looked at the clock in there, it was definitely 7:26am, almost in a trance of confusion I sat down in the chair looking at the home screen on my phone for a few minutes. My monitor turned off and it was the end of my shift. I heard the loud beep from when I let Pandrich out earlier, it knocked me out of my trance and I could hear the gate opening. I panicked and ran out to see what was happening. "Hey, I'm Dave, I'm here to take over your shift." I stood there looking at him for a while before he said. "You look pale, are you o- oh it must be your first day. it's going to be too much if I explain everything now so take this, go home and rest. He placed a piece of paper in my pocket and walked past me to the office.
I just walked to my car and drove home, I don't remember much about the drive home but that was pretty much the start of the whole thing. I'm a week in now and surprisingly a lot more comfortable, I'll write another story or two about the last few days and once you're all caught up I'll start writing one of these every day after work.
